Terms and rules
Short version: host your own projects, don't abuse the service, and keep backups of anything important.
Using Hostrix
- You need to be at least 13 years old, which is the same minimum age as Discord.
- One free account per person. Extra accounts made to get around plan limits may be removed.
- You're responsible for everything your servers do, and for keeping your password and tokens private.
What isn't allowed
Servers doing any of the following are suspended, usually without warning:
- Crypto mining of any kind.
- Attacking, flooding or scanning other services, including DDoS tools and stressers.
- Spam, including mass DMs, raid bots and self-bots that break Discord's Terms of Service.
- Phishing pages, token grabbers, malware, or anything built to steal accounts or data.
- Illegal content, or content that harasses or threatens people.
- Proxies or VPNs offered to the public, and anything else that hides abuse behind our network.
- Deliberately using far more CPU than you need, or trying to break out of your server's limits.
Your data
- We store your username, email, a scrambled version of your password, and the files you upload.
- We keep an activity log (like logins and server starts) with IP addresses, to stop abuse.
- We don't sell your data or look through your files, except when investigating abuse.
- Deleting a server deletes its files. Ask us if you want your account removed.
No guarantees
Hostrix is a free service run on a best-effort basis. Servers can go down, and data can be lost. Keep your own copy of your code; the file manager can download any file.
We can change these rules, plans and limits at any time. If a change affects you, we'll say so on the site.
